Overall it ends up completely lowering the value of the service and in some cases confusing the customer, completely misinterpreting how a person’s idea should be printed. That potential customer either buys the junk or walks away thinking they can’t get it done or that it’s gonna be sooo expensive to have a Legit Printer do the job.

At Hittn’ Skins, we don’t advertise LOW prices…. or hand out cut throat price lists. We don’t use gimmicks like Groupon or Gift card scams to make a dollar today then try to up sell you tomorrow. We don’t put yard signs all over town advertising a BAIT & SWITCH offer either. At Hittn’ Skins we believe in sticking to our original philosophy; taking care of the people already doing business with us and delivering customer service and quality in our price. We’ve found that this is Key in the custom printing industry. We focus on the quality of products and in-house services more than bringing in huge volume at the cheapest price. We point out that companies doing this can’t afford to have quality or on-time delivery at these rates. We are pretty sure someone else will try to deliver the same item’s for a few pennies less, but overall our goal is GROWTH. We progressively build HS by always adding & improving so we can continue t deliver at a higher level. When you come to us we try to prescribe an effective solution at a reasonable cost. We will most definitely have a way to print what you are overall trying to achieve, but depending on 1) the quantity you are ordering 2) your budget and 3) the deadline… it doesn’t always seem like the cheapest option out there.

The Corporate 5k challenges companies to get their employees out of the office, to start running and to start caring more about their health in general. The race circled Lake Eola respectively, Steve Curley and Katy Radkewich had the fastest time for the males and females, with time of 15:03 and 18:04.

The event I wanted to touch on most “Printmakers Unite!” Printmakers Unite happens the first Thursday in June, the event will be a showcase of printmakers, wood etchings, lithographs and other print style media. I am hoping to see some screen printing there which for Hittn Skins is not a completely analog process but it does originate from that process.

The next first Thursday will be May 6 2010 “Go Large” a celebration if artist pushing the envelope in every direction.

For us “sweatshop free” was never about criticizing other business models; it was about attempting something new. It comes down to this: not blindly outsourcing, but rather knowing the faces of our workers and providing them the opportunity to make a fair wage.

The average sewer with experience at American Apparel is making about $25,000/yr, or $12 an hour, almost twice the federal minimum. This can be higher in some cases. We also offer parking, subsidized public transport, subsidized lunches, free onsite massages, a bike lending program, a program of paid days off, ESL classes and much more. Most importantly we guarantee job security and full-time employment; this is an anomaly in the garment industry, which has historically been dominated by seasonal work.
